The raw food diet is eliminating all processed and cooked foods and eating fresh fruit and vegetables, sprouts, nuts, seeds, avocado, coconuts, and sea vegetables. If you're not vegan the raw diet includes raw dairy(raw cottage cheese, raw milk, raw cream, raw cultured butter, keifer), ceviche( raw fish cold cooked in lemon and lime), raw liver pate, raw bison tartar.
Heating food above 118 degrees destroys the life force in food including enzymes and diminishes vitamins and minerals in food. Enzymes aid in proper digestion and absorption of food. Enzymes are the “life force” and “energy” of the plant and all living things..we could not exist without enzymes. They are involved in almost every thing that happens in the body! Cooked foods have no enzymes and also cooking food changes the molecular structure of the food rendering it toxic; this can cause toxicity in the body. Is raw food just cut up carrot sticks?
Nope! It’s eating an abundance of fruits and vegetables and pushing processed addictive sugary foods out. With the help of the 3 main kitchen tools you need to start eating a high raw diet you can make things easy and exciting. You will need a high speed blender, food processor, and food dehydrator. You can make anything from raw spaghetti, raw tacos, raw meatloaf, raw banana bread, raw soups, raw cookies, and raw cheezecake with the help of classes and raw ”uncooking” books. You can easily get started with no tools(just a good knife and cutting board) making collard wraps, delicious unique green salads, chia seed oatmeal and more! A good juicer is key in staying healthy, raw juices absorb right into the cells, are so nutritious and blood cleansing.

When you eat or juice your fresh food it is very important to eat organically grown produce. “Industrial” or “conventional” produce are grown with pesticides, herbicides, synthetic fertilizers, and more harmful chemicals. Organic foods grown in healthier soil are much more nutritious and taste excellent. Don’t throw a bunch of fruit into a smoothie that’s not organic, you will just be making a chemical smoothie! Be kind to your liver and watch the toxins coming in, at least control what you can.

Raw Food = Good Mood! You have so much energy to get things done you have a sense of accomplishment and empowerment which brings on happy and positive thoughts and feelings. Plus it’s virtually impossible to be in a bad mood when looking and feeling so incredibly amazing on a raw food diet. You don’t crash from and sugary addictive foods. Greens keep you fresh and alive!
Purified clean water, fresh juices(made with own juicer and drank within 10 minutes to ensure live enzymes), fresh coconut water, kombucha, sun tea. Most all drinks bought at a store are processed, pasteurized, and loaded with sugar and very acidic to the body. Soda, bottled juices, coffee, alcohol, and most others are not included on a raw/ living foodist diet. I’ve found spring water to be the best choice for me over alkaline, distilled, or mineral.
Protein is found in most plants and nuts. Plants especially fruits and vegetables actually contain an abundance of protein. GREENS…Spinach and broccoli are more than 30% protein. Hemp milk( homemade in vita-mix) and Hemp seeds(shake on salads) are an excellent source of protein. Protein powder(raw protein powder made from hemp or Sun Warrior’s fermented brown rice protein powder is great not not soy or whey based). More foods that contain protein are -alfalfa sprouts, -sprouted buckwheat,- leafy green vegetables,- lentils, -mung beans, -quinoa, -sesame seeds, -sunflower greens, -millet, -pumpkin seeds, -nuts(all nuts except hazelnuts/filberts)
Raw whole food helps rejuvenate and regenerate the body taking you to the next level of health! When you eat a diet containing 75% raw live foods you look and feel younger! The live enzymes break apart the food in digestion process which helps the food move right through you quickly(no constipation from bread or processed food) leaving no waste in colon.
